Outdoor Explore Wales launched on April 1st, 2021.
Based on superb experiences provided to our clients across Scotland since 2014, Outdoor Explore decided to expand our operations and bring top-class paddlesports experiences to the people of South Wales.
Meet Martin, one of Outdoor Explore’s most experienced guides, born and raised in South Wales. Martin is spearheading Outdoor Explore Wales, offering stand-up paddleboarding experiences in the local area.
As a marine biologist, Martin loves to share his knowledge of the environment and local wildlife with others. An experienced DofE Leader, hillwalker, canoe, kayak, and SUP guide Martin is also a great coach in all these sports.

Tuition and tours are available on rivers, canals, and the sea throughout South Wales, from Swansea to Monmouth, Brecon to Cardiff – any stretch of water is fair game!
Tuition starts at £40 per person and guided tours from £35. We have full kit hire available for your adventure and also some wetsuits if the water looks cold!
All the paddling gear you need will be provided, including a waterproof jacket and dry bag.
All you need to bring is something to wear on the SUP, (which may well get wet – depending on if you fall in…), and some shoes which will get wet (wetsuit booties or old trainers are ideal – wellies are not recommended)!
You should also bring any personal medications you may need and we recommend you bring some snacks/ water (obviously a bit more for a whole day tour!) and a camera if you wish.
