This was a troubled year but we really had a few grand days out. Thank you for joining us at Outdoor Explore!

We did manage less river trips and multi-day expeditionts due to problems with the shuttles. Still, the half-day or full-day trips we did will stay with us, in our memories for a long, long time. Kayaking in Scotland is amazing…
Arisaig, on a calm, sunny, peacful day is a trully world-class kayaking destination! Located on the West Coast of Scotland, it’s a popular spot, so better avoid it in the summer if you don’t like the crowds.

Loch Tummel, Perthshire is a true gem in the area. Worth visiting all year round but my personal favourite is autumn time when the sun gets lower and the amazing colours of leaves starting to appear.

Loch Laggan was a new place for Outdoor Explore to add to visited places with our participants. One of our Full Day Adventures here this autumn did not dissapoint. Famous places, windless conditions, plenty of wildlife. just wow…

Hint; tv show ‘Monarch of the…

Loch Rannoch in the Heart of Scotland was visited a several times by us in late November and December. This magnificant venue has plenty of old tales, legend and stories to offer those who a visiting here. We were lucky to catch some good visibilty days, looking out to Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Ben Lawers, Schiehallion and even looking toward Cairngroms in the wintry conditions.

Clunie Loch one of my favourite destinations in Scotland anyways but when paddling here after dark it’s all becoming a truly magical experience. Photos by Markus Stitz, who joined us in late November for some night kayaking. We will be running these tours until April.

Loch Freuchie is located between Amulree and Kenmore, Perthshire. Not much access, or actually car parking here so visited rarely by Outdoor Explore. We did manage to capture some of the best winter vibes here recently though.

Loch Awe is the longest loch/lake in the UK. On the way to Oban you are passing only a small part of this magnificent venue. Some strong winds can be experienced here, so keep that in mind when visiting. Amazing wildlife, lot of island and a lot of historic sites.

Dundee located by the edge of the mighty River Tay where it enters the North Sea provides paddlers with amazing experiences. This trip was pre-covid! February journey to see the sun rising over the horizon, over the Tayport, Fife and shining towards the Sunny Dundee.

This really was a tough year but thanks to you, your requests, commitment and trust placed on Outdoor Explore we did deliver 299 guided tours! Paddled nearly 2000km! Wow, thank you so much from me and our amazing team of guides/coaches.
Happy paddling wishes for 2021!
