Sunset chasers…

The season for some fantastic sunset, at a reasonable time, has started!

Have a look at our yesterday’s guided kayak tour from Broughty Ferry.

Sunset over Broughty Ferry Castle

For over two hours we were exploring the Firth of Tay just east of Dundee, Scotland. Almost windless, relaxing and so peaceful. A perfect evening. Even the beach at Broughty Ferry was nearly empty.

After launching our tandem kayaks on the water we went west, to explore the Broughty Ferry Castle first:

Sun was falling slowly behind the horizon and we were getting used to the boats. It was time to head toward the open sea. Admiring the scenery, vast open spaces and completely nobody near us we were getting ready for a perfect sunset…

At some point an expected visitor arrived. one of the grey seals from a nearby colony came passed. It checked us out, cruised a few times around us and stayed for quite some time. Eventually the seal relaxed so much it started to drift horizontally on the water’s surface. What a great experience.
