This section of the River Tay is getting quite wide and meanders a lot. You will come across a lot of lovely picnic spots, minro rapids and an occasional fishermen. Particularly towards the end of the trip look out for other water users.
Once passing near Meiklour village you will paddle under the scenic Kinclaven Bridge. Soon after, on your left there is River Isla, paddle it 100m upstream to find your egress point.

Meet us at the finish point of the journey. We will transport you to the start from here. Meet at the layby on the A93 road just under the famous Meiklour’s Beech Hedge. This is only 200m north of the Isla Bridge on your left, 4 miles south from Blairgowrie.

WHAT TO BRING?
Warm clothes, no jeans, suitable for the weather, including shoes you don’t mind to get wet, that’s it. We will have dry bags available so you can carry spare hats, gloves, food, camera, drink and any medications safely with you.
