We are back to truly sunny Dundee again and it feels amazing…

I was awaiting for this moment for a long, long time. Coming back to Broughty Ferry Beach is always a spectacular experience!
An old fishing town just east of Dundee, great beach, a few parks, ample parking, lovely places to eat and very welcoming community create the great vibe here. The castle just by the water’s edge (also a museum worth visiting when open again), wildlife and easy launching spots making it a great place to offer guided kayak tours by Outdoor Explore.
We are still in the early times of Phase 2 at the moment so only 5 miles is allowed to travel for leisure. How fortunate that one of our returning clients, a family of 4, lives just nearby and decided to book a bespoke guided trip. You can arrange your private trip, contact us directly info@outdoorexplore.co.uk

As always, prior to the trip, I made sure that the chosen crafts suit the participants’ expectations and support their aims. This time we were looking for a gentle style adventure, exploring the waterfront. Outdoor Explore’s fleet consists of some double sea kayaks. These here, blue ones, are very fast, stable and provided with rudders allowing even novice explorers to use it easily. A very unique craft…

We chosen a perfect day of the week; warm, little wind and tide still coming in. What we didn’t plan but have been privileged to experience is to see two pods of dolphins next to our kayaks. At times surfacing the water less than 6ft away! Just wow!!!! This continue for over an hour. Is there a better way to try sea kayaking for the first time?
Oh wait, did I mention seeing amazing lighthouses, grey seals following us throughout the journey and an amazing view towards Dundee, Fife and Angus from the water perspective. This is exactly why I love returning here…
We expect soon the travel restrictions to change in Scotland and hopefully, those living further away can explore Dundee area with us as well. Look upon our map of kayaking locations in Scotland, there might be some you wish to visit this summer. If so, let us arrange a bespoke guided tour for you.

The cost of those is £90 for the first person (yes, 1-1 tours are also available) and £30 for every next person joining as well. Drop us an email for more details if needed; info@outdoorexplore.co.uk We tailor our trips to all ages and ability level participants.
Next time this could be you, relaxing at the seaside, drinking good coffee, watching seals and dolphins, getting ready for kayaking…
Happy paddling! Piotr, Outdoor Explore founder
