Outdoor Explore was launched on the 7th of August 2014. This means it’s our 6th birthday today! What a great year for kayaking in Scotland this was…
Have a look what we have done in the last 12 months; meet our team closer, see amazing destinations we have added, new products we have created and see our little gift on the bottom of this page.

Outdoor Explore is running guided kayak tours in many amazing places across Scotland, Tayside mostly. Last year, summertime we have been approached by the BBC Countryfile to help them filming amazing wildlife of Perthshire. Surprisingly to many, one of the most exciting places to do so is Perth, the mighty River Tay! This was a great episode showing kingfishers and beavers swimming next to our kayaks. If you wish to join such trip, look at our sister page Perth City Tours

Later on, we helped Visit Scotland creating an amazing campaign promoting Perthshire. Have a look at their creation, a short clip ‘Live life well, Perthshire’ Can you see which parts myself and Craig helped to film? Kayaking in Scotland, including Perthshire, is what we do best.

Late summer and the autumn time is usually the beginning of our sunset tours which will lead in the winter to some night kayaking trips. The picture was above taken at Clunie Loch near Blairgowrie. A great way to unwind really…
Taking of the night kayaking we even featured in the Courier about it. Have a read
These are not the only exciting activities we offer in the quiet season. How about sunrise kayaking in Dundee or taking a full breakfast, locally sourced, with you on the water? We love these trips, especially when colder outside, windless, magical.

In October 2019 we moved from Alyth to Blairgowrie, our new premises next to amazing Tea with Jud Pottery We have an amazing stretch of the River Ericht next door, great for coaching, confidence building in kayaks, canoes and even coracles!

In 2019 we started to offer West Coast Day Trips kayaking. Port Apin, Loch Nevis, South Skye, Arisaig, Mallaig, Oban were places we visited in the last 12 months. Stunning, full amazing wildlife locations, so remote. Love travelling there. The most recent one was the Arisiag and their amazing beaches…

As always, you, people who join us and our amazing team of guides is what makes Outdoor Explore not the places. We just try our best to show you some superb locations, often just on our doorstep which from the water look simply amazing. Kayaking with dolphins from Tayport. Seeing ospreys across the Tay Valley, admiring kingfishers at Loch Faskally, hearing about fascinating history on Loch Tay or in Perth, exploring the cliffs and caves in Angus. Thank you so much for joining us on the trip, purchasing gift vouchers and returning for even advise on the kayaking locations. It’s down to you dear readers and those who adding amazing reviews, helped us to achieve the Trip Advisors’ Travelers’ Choice status. Amazing!
